When Carlo Lombardi got married in 1943 decided to start his own company to assure a better future to his family. In spite of all the war time dangers the company survived and prospered until the war was finally over.
Carlo Lombardi was active, on the domestic market, supplying the best stores until 1969 when his son Piero took over.
International markets were opening up and jewellery export from Italy was growing therefore a new company called “New Italian Art” was started to concentrate mostly on the international markets.
Of the jewellery families who started New Italian Art only three remain today, all related by family ties: Lombardi, Mantelli and Ceva.
The company grew its business worldwide and during the years several awards were granted as acknowledgement for the excellence of its work and design: DeBeers Diamonds International Award winner in 1968, 1973, 1994, 1996 and 1998 – M.P.P. Jewellery Arabia 2005-2006. New Italian Art decided in 2006 to go further with the branding of its jewellery by creating a new brand and bring back an historical name in Italian jewellery making.
This new brand is also dedicated to Carlo Lombardi who started the family business in 1943.
The collection of the brand is in line with the family tradition of excellent workmanship and original design, but specializes in contemporary jewellery with a traditional touch and using only the traditional gem stones: diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds.
